A few words about Hermioni
Hermioni is a beautiful seaside town on the southeast coast of Argolis county, which offers ideal vacation harmoniously combing peaceful ambience and vivid entertainment.
The sea embraces it from both sides and forms the Mandrakia port which is the commercial town center and a popular anchorage for sailing boats.
Hermioni offers you wonderful beaches for swimming and exploring. You can visit Boulroto Beach, Kouverta Beach, which is the largest in the area with sand and blue waters, the beaches of Maderi, Sentoni and Petrothalassa, as well as the two pebble beaches in Bisti.
In Kapari Isle, two miles away from Hermioni, you will find the diving center that gives you the chance to admire the seabed with the rich underwater life.
It's worthwhile to visit the little church of Agia Hermioni, in the outskirts of the town, the Folklore Museum of Kranidi, the Toy Museum of Hermioni and the cave of Frangthi.
Tradition and customs are faithfully observed in Hermioni.
The most characteristic ones are Judas' burning at stake in Easter Sunday and the "Yala-Yala song" which the locals sing all-night long on the eve of the Epiphany till daybreak, before they dive in the cold sea to retrieve the holy cross.
Peaceful, cosmopolitan life, traditional customs, excursions to nearby sites. Hermioni offers all OF this, and don't forget, it is situated on a stone's throw away from Athens.
